What it is like to straighten your hair(My experience)

I have naturally curly/wavy hair. When I say that, I want you to realise that it is extremely wavy, gets tangled too often, is frizzy, and very thick. As much as they aren't proper curls, they are bad enough due to the volume. Moreover there is no scope of leaving it without combing. And when you do comb it, 7/10 times the hair brush will get stuck in it.

Now what makes it worse, is when your mother and brother have perfectly straight hair. And that was how it was. I had to have hair which was a combination of straight and curls(gene game wrong). So obviously, I used to sit here cribbing about my awful hair, as I tried to pull out the hair brush, while my mother looked just fine with her 'woke up like this' hair.

Naturally, I craved straight hair. And after a lot of persuading, my mother finally let me get straightening done after my 10th grade board exams. I remember going to the salon and sitting there nervously, wondering if it was a good idea to do smoothening(smoothening gives a more natural look to your hair. Or so they say..). But once I was done, I was convinced it was a good idea.

Now the thing with permanent straightening/smoothening your hair is, that the word permanent, just means that it stays till your new hair starts growing back. And the new hair that grows, is curled again. So now, your hair is partially straight and partially wavy. If you're like me a.k.a. you don't care about how it looks as long as the hair brush can pass through/too lazy to plug in the straightener and straighten the root hair a bit, then you will just go with it. And that's what I did for around 6 months, after which I finally decided to do a touch-up(they convince you it takes lesser time than the initial smoothening treatment did, but those are little white lies)

That touch-up was the last time I smoothened my hair. After that, I just didn't bother. I let it grow, until it was half wavy, half straight. Then finally after my 12th boards, I decided to go in for a haircut, and chopped off the straight ends altogether, and going back to square one.

I was back to my curls.

But I really didn't mind anymore. Yes, I did still want straight hair(I still do), but I don't put myself down just because I don't have straight hair. Maybe I just grew up, and accepted that I'm pretty, just the way I am.

But now that people I knew, knew how I looked with straight hair, they preferred that look, over my natural hair look. Around 8/10 people would tell me,"You look better with straight hair..". As much as everyone can place their own opinions, people really need to realise that telling me that straight hair suits me better is more of an insult than a compliment. Some people even advise you to go ahead and re-straighten it. I usually used to turn a deaf ear to them.

That's pretty much how my experience with straightening my hair was. Different people have different experiences but in my opinion, it is worth doing only around 2 to 3 times, and not making it into a habit.

#Opinion- Aish's Lilac Lipstick at Cannes'16

I have been inactive for almost a year, but I had boards and a very hectic schedule. Now that I have the time, I'm back to being active :) Or atleast trying 

First things first, the shade is NOT Purple. Purple is darker. Way darker than that, and it doesn't stand out the way the one Aish wore did. I'd rather call the shade she wore Lilac.
From what I hear, the lipstick she wore is by L'oreal, and not available in India. I don't know if one can order it online and import it in India, but I checked the major Indian B2C websites, and it isn't available there.

On the other hand, we do have some dupes of that shade available in the market. M.A.C. happens to have one of the closest ones, but I don't know the name of it. M.A.C has quite a few shades on the Lilac/Purple side, so there's pretty much a lot of variety if you're interested.. In my opinion though, do not splurge on M.A.C. The major reason is the fact that they test their products on animals, and I do not support that, and believe that no one should. I own one M.A.C. lipstick and it will be my last M.A.C product until they stop this abuse. Animals are living creatures too. The innocent creatures do not deserve such torment. One can be a little compassionate and avoid M.A.C products.
The second reason is that M.A.C products are,in my opinion, really pricey. I think a lipstick is for a minimum of INR 850, which is a lot. Though if you're willing to spend that much on ONE product, and can live with the fact that a few animals died so that you can use this product, then you can go ahead and give it a try.

Personally, I didn't really like the shade she is wearing, so I didn't go out trying to find a similar shade. The reasons for it is, it's too bright a shade for my liking. Now I do own some neon shades, but those are in oranges and pinks, and can go with a few outfits here and there. I don't think Lilac is going to go with any of my outfits. Nor would I like wearing a Lilac one, for that matter. Aish sports it well, and I can see a few people drooling over it on social media, but I think it's a shade that won't suit a majority. Moreover it will stand out, whoever wears it regardless of their skin tone. I, thus, do not believe on splurging on such a shade.
That's all for this post :)

Organistick Lipstick

Organistick is a new brand of Organic Lipstick, with the goodness of jojoba oil and shea butter. I spotted a few of these at a local beauty and cosmetic store, and thought, why not give it a try? So, today I'm reviewing the Organistick Lipstick. Hope it helps you.

The shade that I have is Organistick Lip color 03, which is a dark shade of Red, somewhat Crimson. The Lipstick is absolutely smooth, and moisturizing as well. I've used it a few times, and it is quite long lasting and lasts for about 5-6 hours at least(or for me it did!).

The packaging is pretty attractive if you ask me. The lipstick is in a silver holder, and has a outer transparent covering as well at the bottom part. This part has floral patterns on it, and the cap of it(the top) is a transparent one, making it easy for the person using it, to check the shade. I personally feel this is pretty convenient when even checking the testers, as well as at home, when you're choosing a shade to apply.

The cost of this lipstick is INR 140. You can also order this online at flipkart or snapdeal. I personally think that it is pretty cheap and affordable, compared to all the famous brands whose cheapest lipstick is at INR 300 at least. You get quality and enough quantity for an affordable price.

Since it is a new brand, I see no advertisement of it whatsoever. But, I hope they take care of it soon, since I really like their lipstick, and I'm glad I found it at a local store.

At the end, I'd say there is no harm in giving it a try. I recommend it, and use it too. I hope this helps you decide.

Summer Essentials !

SUMMER IS HERE! Okay, that was too cliché. It's hot and humid 365 days a year in Mumbai. But the sun is literally sending flames to us right now in May. So I decided to make a blog post dedicated to Essentials required this Summer. So here we go. I'm going to segregate them so that it is easy for you all to read and figure it out.

Skin-
1) Lakme CC Cream- I recently got Lakme's CC(Clear Complexion) Cream, and I'm absolutely loving it. It is very smooth, and blends with your skin tone easily. You get fair glowing skin easily with this and it lasts pretty long..(at least for a few hours).
Cost- INR 250

2)Neutrogena Fine Fairness Cleanser-  This cleanser is very effective, if you are exposed to sun, dust, etc. for a long time daily. You can use this cleanser once or twice a day, as per your convenience(morning and evening maybe?). It makes your skin glow a bit, and I feel it also clears up any dust, or any rough particles settled on your skin.
Cost- INR 200

Do not forget any type of Sunscreen lotion if you are going to be exposed to the sun for long hours.

Eyes-
1) Maybelline Colossal Eyeliner- I had recently written a review of this on this blog itself. Maybelline Colossal Eyeliner is easy to apply and long-lasting as well. It defines your eyes, with just one swipe of the eyeliner. I think, it's a must-try for anyone who can't walk out of the house without eyeliner on.
Cost- INR 425

Lips-
1) Maybelline Colour Bloom- Maybelline Colour Bloom is one of Maybelline's lesser known lip balm(probably because Baby Lips has always been promoted much). But Colour Bloom is very effective and also adds a natural shimmer to your lips. It's very long-lasting as well, and stays for about 4 hours at least.
Cost- INR 135

2) Himalayan Lip Balm- This one is specially for people who get chapped lips even in Summer(like me). Himalayan Lip Balm helps in healing them fast. It also adds a little shimmer to your lips, so you can use it in your daily routine as well.
Cost- INR 28

Body-
1) Any moisturizer- Personally, I do not use anything on my hands or legs, but if you have to use something, any moisturizer works. Make sure they have SPF 20 protection, so it will give you protect your skin from the strong sun rays. The only moisturizer I've used is by Nivea.

So these are my essentials for the summer. Hope that helped you :)

L'oreal Paris Glam Shine Lip Crayon

Apart from Nail polishes, my next obsession is with all lipsticks, lip glosses, and lip balms. So of course, I'd to order this one, when I saw this pop in my flipkart tab. Today's review is about L'oreal Paris Glam Shine Lip Crayon, and I hope it helps you decide whether you want to buy it or not.

This lip crayon, looks very attractive, and appealing. It's shaped like a crayon, and has a shiny silver cap. The end of this cylindrical crayon(that tapers off into a conical shape, like a normal crayon) can be turned to bring out more of the glossy balm into view.

The crayon is glossy and like a balm at the same time. It's easy to apply BUT not long-lasting.. It may go well for around 2 hours and if you're lucky more than that. But for me, it didn't last that long. The effect it gives is pretty average, nothing pretty great about it. It does give a shiny effect, but I think lip glosses can do better at it.

It costs about INR 350, which is a bit costly seeing that it doesn't deliver good enough quality. You can get a good lip gloss, at a bit higher price, but worth it. L'oreal failed to impress me this time, so not going to recommend this.

I'd not seen advertisements for this anywhere. I found this while shopping on Flipkart. L'oreal Paris' Glam Shine Lip Crayon is available in about 8 different variants(I have Lychee Lust). But as I said, I don't feel it's worth it, but if you still want to go ahead, and buy it, you can get it on Flipkart and Amazon or in any L'oreal store.

That's it for L'oreal Paris Glam Shine Lip Crayon. I hope this review helps you decide whether you want to get this one or not.
I'm really sorry, I haven't been regular. I've coaching classes for almost 8 hours daily, so it has become super hectic for me, and damn tough to manage everything. I'll be trying to post as much as I can though. :(

Maybelline The Colossal Eyeliner+GIVEAWAY WINNER ANNOUNCED

Apologies for not posting for about 2 weeks. A lot of things came up, and I have a very busy schedule for these vacations. From now on, I'll be posting once in a week instead of twice. Hope you understand.

I'm not an eyeliner person basically, but then, it actually looks good, so it's fine to use it sometimes, I guess. The reason, I don't use it is, I'm a massive failure at applying the liquid eyeliner, and the pencil one, smudges a lot, ruining the look. But then, as you know my love for Maybelline, I couldn't help but buy The Colossal Eyeliner AND I LOVE IT! So as you can guess, today's blogpost is dedicated to the same.

If you can't go without eyeliner, for even a day, then this is a MUST HAVE for you! It is amazingly smooth, easily applicable, and long-lasting(trust me it lasts for about 12 hours). If you are bad at applying eyeliner(like me) but do want to try one, then again, this is a MUST HAVE for you too!

This looks like a pencil, with a conical spongy applicator, but is actually liquid! The pencil-ish structure makes it easy to apply, and the liquid eyeliner is long-lasting and doesn't smudge easily. It also gives an amazing finish and a very fine look to your eyes, enhancing them effectively.

The cost of Colossal Eyeliner is INR 425, but I got it for INR 375, from an official Maybellin
e Outlet. I feel it is pretty affordable, and works like wonders. It is a must try if you ask me.

I don't have any idea if any advertising as such was done. Though I do recall seeing a few banners around about this product, but I got to know about it through twitter in the first place. I feel this product is pretty attractive looking, compact and effective.

I hope this review helps you decide whether you want to buy this or not(YOU SHOULD BUY IT!).
And now, the giveaway winner...

*drumrolls*

Congratulations to her! I'll be sending away the goodies as soon as I can. Do keep supporting. For the others who took part, there's always a next time :)

Miss Claire French Manicure Kit + GIVEAWAY!

Apologies for not posting! I was having my college final exams, and needed to study.

Recently, I used Miss Claire's French Manicure Kit(even though I have short nails because I have a very bad nail biting habit xD). So today's blog post is dedicated to the same. I hope my review helps you to decide whether to buy it or not.

This Kit includes a set of three nail polishes(A top coat, A base coat and a white polish) along with a nail buffer and two sets of nail stickers. The instructions on how to use it are given at the back of the kit, but I think they should have given a little detailed explanation, since I had to go on youtube to find out how it is supposed to be used.

The three nail polishes, that are supplied in the Kit, are not up to the mark where quality is concerned if you ask me. I've tried Miss Claire's Blusher Kit and Eyeshadows, and honestly, this nail art kit, fails to impress me.

The cost of this kit is INR 250, which is pretty okay if you ask me. The packaging is great(which is how I ended up buying it, since I have a very bad habit of judging products by their packaging xD). As far as I know, I've never seen any advertisement for Miss Claire's products let alone for this. It's only when you go shopping, that you find about it.

I guess that's as much as you need to know for Miss Claire's French Manicure Kit. I don't actually recommend buying this, since the quality of the polishes isn't up to the mark, and not impressive. I hope this review helped you decide whether you want to give this a try or not.

Now for the better part of it..

So, I'm going to be giving away TWO nail polishes:

Glitter Pens Nail Art technique!

I'm extremely sorry fro not posting the previous week, I was a bit busy with my exams and stuff, and I won't be posting again next week for the same reason. Apologies.

I know, that there are a lot of people who cannot do nail art properly, even with the stripers and dotting tools and other equipment. Nor can I, but I've seen people doing trying out weird things on their nails with the striper, but ending it at something totally out of the world(And I mean it in a bad sense). But as far as I know, nail art requires lot of patience, and PRACTICE to master the usage of all the equipment properly to make intricate patterns on your nails, and not all of us can do that right?

Instead of going to the beauty Salon just to get a nail art for a special occasion or such done, you can do it at home, without using any of those equipments! All you need is your normal nail polishes, base coat, top coat and some funky glitter pens!

So start off with a base coat to protect your natural nails from any hazardous elements that might be used in the nail polish. Now paint your nails with a suitable color of nail polish. Try to choose a color which goes well with the shades of glitter pens you have chosen. For example: If you're taking black polish as the base nail polish(Not the base coat. Base polish is the one on which you'll do your nail art), use Silver, Golden and fluorescent shades, so it is vibrant and easily visible.

Once you're done applying the base polish, let it dry for a while. Then, take your glitter pens, and start drawing the designs and patterns you want to! Make sure you use in a lot of glitter work, since the top coat will remove quite a bit. Wait for a moment, before applying the top coat. Alternatively, you can also dip your fingers in ice water, to dry them, though I have no idea if it works on the glitter gel pen work.

Now slowly apply the top coat over it. Make sure you apply only one coat of it, since it smudges the glitter a bit. Using a lot of top coat may lead to total removal of the glitter work OR total smudging of it.

And there, you are ready with your nail art!

Do NOT forget the top coat, or else you'll be giving a touch of glitter to everything you take in your hands. If you want the nail art only for few hours, then it's alright if you don't apply the top coat.

That's it for this nail art technique. I hope you use it and find it easy to do.

Lakme Lip Love

I love lip balms. And that is why I have like about 4 of them which I use regularly, and a few which I don't use anymore. I'm obsessed with buying lip balms, and that is why, I got Lakme Lip Love for myself. I wanted to buy it ever since I saw the advertisement for it when I was at Cafe Coffee Day having a small snack. So today's blog post is dedicated to Lakme's Lip Love.

Lakme Lip Love is a dual core lip balm, the inner core offering superior moisturisation to your lips. It is apparently, the first of it's kind in India, and I won't deny this, since this is the first time I saw something like this too. It contains SPf-15 that protects your lips from sun damage..

The flavor that I have is the Cherry one. There are 4 flavors available in Lakme Lip Love- Vanilla, Peach, Strawberry and Cherry.

I'd like to say I absolutely love this lip balm. The dual core makes it look attractive, and it is effective as well. Cherry goes well with my lips, and enhances my casual look. At the same time, it also makes the chic party look look natural and not overdone. In simple words, it goes well with anything, and makes your look natural.

I find the packaging pretty cute and attractive(but then again, I find all lip balms attractive so...). Mine is in a red, cherry colored, cylindrical lip balm container, with the wirds, Lip Love engraved on it in a cursive-ish font.

The application, goes like any normal lip balm we use. Twist it, till the core is in your view, and swipe it across your lips smoothly, and apply as per your wish.

The cost of Lakme Lip Love is INR 200, and I got it for INR 180, because I bought it from the Official Lakme dealers. I'm sure this will be available at all local stores soon. If you need this sooner, you can always find an official store..

That's it for Lakme Lip Love. I hope this review helped you. For me, I'd say everyone SHOULD try this !

Nike Woman's Deodorant

I think even perfumes, fragrances, and deodorants should be included while posting on a beauty blog, and not only all the makeup stuff. So, I decided to blog about Nike's Deodorant for Women.

This deodorant, that I own, is the 'Scarlet Kiss' flavored one. I was gifted this by one of my friends on some occasion, which I do not recall. It is 200 ml, and if you ask me, it can easily last for a few months, when used daily.

The packaging is quite attractive. Or maybe, this variant in it, has been packaged in white and pink, and pink is my favorite so I like it. But nevertheless, it is efficiently packed. The spray cap, is easy to press, and the deodorant can be easily used. The scent, in my flavor at least, is extremely sweet, addictive and a bit tingly. And I'm glad to say, that I love it.

I don't remember any advertisement as such done by Nike, regarding this product. If it were not for my friend gifting this to me, I wouldn't have even known.. Thankful to her for that.

The cost, of this Deodorant, is INR 275 for 200 ml. If you ask me, it is quite affordable and it is worth it. Again, I'd like to repeat, that the scent of this is ADDICTIVE. So, I'd love it if everyone tried it out!

The deodorant can be used for 5 years from the manufacturing period. The scent is also quite long-lasting.(It lasted two days once!)

I think that's it for Nike Woman's Deodorant. I know that this is short, but that is all I can come up with.
I'll post on Saturday maybe :)

Revlon's Super Lustrous Lip gloss.

This is probably my first review about a gloss. Gloss is my personal favorite(as I'd mentioned in one of my posts earlier) for various reasons(again given in one of my previous posts), so I'm pretty excited writing this review today. Hopefully, it helps you.

If you are the one who always wants to be the diva, who is the center of attraction, then this is what you are looking for! Revlon's Super Lustrous Lip Gloss, gives you the perfect glittery party look.

The shade that I have is called,'Wrap yourself in Rubies.' This is a shade of reddish pink, with shimmer in it(like all the glosses). This gloss goes very well with a chic party outfit, and I'd say I won't hesitate using it, if I'm heading for a party with my girls.

The Gloss as such, is very smooth, and easy to apply. It is one of those, with the small brush, with which you can apply it on your lips. It lasts for about 4 hours approximately. But the drawback here is, as it the time passes, and the gloss starts drying, even your lips start feeling dry and moisture less. Or maybe that happened only with me..

This Gloss costs you around INR 450 and I, personally find it a bit pricey, seeing that you'll be probably using it for only parties and special events. If you use Lip Gloss daily, then you should definitely try this out once though I'd rather buy a Matte Lipstick for daily use.

That's it for Revlon's Super Lustrous Lip Gloss. I hope this review helped you :)

Bright Herbals' Cucumber Gel

Bright Herbals is my friend's mother's beauty brand, and she makes all the products at home itself and all by herself. I have had massive dark circles, so I decided to ask my friend for advice, since her mother is also a consultant at Oriflame. She recommended this Cucumber Gel to me, and I tried it. And well, I'd gladly say, I liked it and it worked effectively well.

They do not advertise anywhere. It's just that she is my friend, so I knew about her mother's products.

The gel is green in colour, and non-fragrant(or maybe I do not find a peculiar odour). Other gels available with her are Aloevera, Orange and Jaswand.

The cost is INR 100 per 80 grams. I feel that it is quite affordable, since it is a wholesome quantity and would last easily for 6 months if used daily. You do not need to apply a huge amount. Rather a very small amount of it, used daily works. It takes time, but it does work.

How long it will take to cover up the dark circles, totally depends on how long you've had them. I've had mine for years now(have had a lot of sleep related issues), so mine aren't fully done yet. Moreover, the gel won't work if you don't get proper sleep along with daily application of the gel. If you've got dark circles recently, well then, maybe yours can be covered up easily within weeks of daily application. However, if you are like me, who has weird sleep timings and stuff, then it will take a really long time to take effect.

I guess that's it for the cucumber gel. I'd say do give it a try, especially if you have dark circles. The other gels, work for different issues like acne, dry skin, etc. I'll try to attach a picture of the orange gel(since the Cucumber one doesn't have a label on it), but I'm not sure of it. So in case I don't and you need to contact her, to buy the same for yourself, do not hesitate dropping a comment asking for her contact details, or contacting me on twitter @SrushtiBeauty. Though, you will have to collect it from their residence.

I recently realized my blog crossed 200 views. :D
Thank you so much for that! Ily all! :*

I'll probably update next Thursday. :)

Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick

Very recently I bought the new Lakme 9 to 5 lipstick. So, today's blog post is dedicated to it. I hope it'll help you.

This lipstick is matte, like the Lakme ones we usually see in local stores(I have never tried glossy ones in Lakme, I don't even know if they have glossy ones). The shade that I bought is MR2- Red Chaos, and it is really good! It looks perfect on me, not really bright, not really dull, just natural. It can be used with a casual outfit, to give a great natural and fitting look.

This lipstick is quite smooth, but I'd rather prefer a Revlon over it, because they are smoother and don't feel uneasy on your lips. Thought the look and shine of this one is amazing, and YES, Lakme 9 to 5 IS long-lasting as they claim it to be. Definitely better than the old traditional Lakme ones, you get. The packaging, the look, time it lasts for, everything is now better than the traditional one in here.

I had seen the advertisement for this on TV, and that is how I came to know about it. I think advertisements for the same were also in the newspaper
s and stuff. So why not give a try?

The packaging is quite trendy if you ask me. The lipstick holder is a peach colored cylindrical holder, with a metallic shine over it. You can also flaunt you newly bought lipstick now, can't you?

The traditional old normal Lakme lipstick costs you about INR 350, while the Lakme 9 to 5 costs you about INR 450 to INR 500. Yes, it is a bit costly, but I'd say it's worth it, seeing the perfect natural look you get(I'm saying natural look, because the shade I have gives a natural look. I'm sure every shade has it's own uniqueness)

That's it for Lakme 9 to 5. I hope this review helps you in deciding whether to get it or not.

L'oreal Paris Mythic Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

Again, I'm sorry for not posting on Thursday. :(
Sincere apologies.

I recently started using L'oreal Paris' Mythic Oil shampoo and conditioner, on recommendation of my Stylist at the Salon. At first I was hesitant, because I'd never heard of it and such, but now I've stopped using any other products on my hair. Totally trust Mythic Oil Shampoo and Conditioner.

Mythic Oil is made of organic constituents and does not damage your hair. The other shampoos that you get in the market easily, damage your hair causing problems like hairfall, dandruff, etc. Mythic oil has no side effects on your hair, and also protects it. The same, being made of organic constituents comes to the benefit of the user anyways.

Yes, this costs way too much. I think the shampoo costs around INR 850 and the conditioner costs around INR 800. But that is because it is organic as I've heard. It lasts apparently for a month or two, according to me, while the conditioner may last longer than that. I think, you can even apply the conditioner to your scalp, and it won't cause any damage.

I have attached a picture of the shampoo I have, just for the size(I got the picture from the internet xD). Now you do know, why I said it would last for a long time.

I have no idea if this actually reduces hair problems like Dandruff and Hair fall. My stylist had claimed that it is very good for your hair, but my hair fall problem has not yet stopped or reduced, so I won't claim that.

That's it for Mythic Oil then. I hope this post helps you :)

Maybelline Baby Lips

So, the chapped lips season is almost over, and now I plan to do a review of a lip balm..(only me..)
Anyways, so as you guys probably know, I absolutely love Maybelline, and so today I'm reviewing one of their most famous products, 'Baby Lips' !

The Maybelline Baby Lips that I have is the Cherry Kiss one, and I'd like to say that it is amazing! It gives my lips a natural look, not too dark, nor too light. Just perfect, casual look. It does not as such protect your lips as it claims to, because my lips chapped even though I used it daily. But it is a good product, if you want a lip balm for daily application, which also gives you a natural look.

It costs around INR 165, if I'm not wrong, but I got it at discounted rate at INR 150. I think this is quite affordably, seeing that this product lasts for more than 3-6 months at least, even if you use it daily. And moreover the look you get after application, is something this lip balm is worth buying for.

Packaging is quite attractive. It comes in different colors, for all different flavors. Baby Lips is available in about 18 different flavors according to the internet, though I have seen about 8-9 only in the local markets.

The advertising that this product did was A LOT. There were ads about it on TV, I saw the banners around the city, etc. And that's why I got to know of this product, and i'm glad I did.

Recently, Maybelline also released an addition(rather an upgrade kind of thing) to the Baby Lips family. It is the 'Baby Lips Electro' ! I've used that one too, but I think I'll put it up as a separate review some other day.

That's all for Maybelline's Baby Lips. I hope this post helps you. :) Rather you should just go grab it.

Nivea Frangipani and Oil Shower Gel

I'm extremely sorry for not posting the previous week, but that was only because I had exams. I know I should've mentioned in my last post saying the same and not kept anyone who reads hanging, but I really thought I would be able to post, but unfortunately I couldn't. So sorry about that.

I think that even body care products, come into the Beauty category, so I thought I'll dedicate a post to my Shower Gel. And as you may have guessed it, yes, I use 'Nivea Frangipani and Oil Shower Gel'. So, in today's post I'll be telling you more about it.

There has been absolutely no advertisement about this product, and I didn't even know something like this exists until that day, when my eye caught the sight of these bottles on a rack in Big Bazaar. I thought, there was no harm in trying so, I got one, and now use it daily.

I can happily say, that this is one of the best Shower Gels that I have tried. It has a jelly kind of base(so gel, haha), unlike other few which I'd tried. It is smooth like anything, and is better than the Lux ones you get in the market. The colour is also really nice, and attractive if you ask me, which is why I selected this one.

The cost is INR 185, for 250 ml bottle, which is reasonable, for a product so good, if you ask me. I have no idea if there are any sizes, though I hardly doubt it. There are three flavor choices, but I do not remember the names of each. I'll try to attach a picture of all 3 if I can.

I guess, that's it for Nivea's Shower Gel. Do drop in a comment or two, and some constructive feedback would be appreciated too ;) And sorry again, for not posting the past week.

Laura Paige's Midnight Blue Eyeliner

I'm that one person who can never apply liquid eyeliner properly. NEVER. I'm that bad at it. Which is why, I have to use a pencil liner and that is how I ended up buying one during my Singapore trip!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was quite pleased with Laura Paige's Make Up Stick and I'm also extremely happy with the eyeliner. This eyeliner is actually those two-in-one kind of pencils, which you can use as kajal(kohl) and eyeliner as well.

The shade looks perfect on me, and I guess it would look good even on tanned skin tone. It's really smooth, though I don't really know about the long lasting part of it. And it does smudge a bit, but I guess you can't expect it to be a pencil of perfection.

Coming to the cost. I don't remember the cost of it exactly. I guess it was somewhere from 1S$D to 3S$D. If you need a good liner for yourself, I'd rather say, you'll get some cheaper options available locally in India and there is no actual point in ordering this internationally. You may also find smudge-free ones.

That's it for Laura Paige's Midnight Blue Eyeliner. I know today's post was short, but I had absolutely forgotten that I need to post. Really sorry :(
Do leave in a comment or so, because I love constructive feedback :)

Laura Paige's Moisture Make Up Stick

Remember I recently visited Singapore and got few(or more than just a few) cosmetics back? One of them was Laura Paige's Moisture Make Up Stick. So today's review is dedicated to this product.

In all honesty, I had never heard of this brand before, but it seemed nice, so I bought it. Moreover I was looking for a product like this, which can be used instead of our foundation and compact(since this was more convenient), but it was never available in India. The only one time I saw such a thing here, was Maybelline's BB cream one. But apparently, that one is only for those with oily skin.

Very recently I used it and I can proudly say I've got no regrets. It gives you the perfect amount of glow(if used appropriately, or else you turn out as a ghost, like I did in my first attempt!), it is not heavy, and you don't feel it stretching your skin at all! I don't mind replacing this with my normal compact at times!

The one that I have, is 'Light Beige' and it suits my skin tone. I don't know if they have different shades for different skin tones,as I don't recall seeing that, but the internet says they have 4 different shades. This stick that I have is of 8 grams, and I recall seeing a bigger pack, though I'm not quite sure about it. And 8 grams, would last at least 6 months, if my estimate isn't wrong.

Coming to the cost, I think it costs upto 3S$D. You won't get it in India, so the best option, if you really want to get this, is to order online.

That's it for LP's Moisture Make Up Stick. I'm sorry for this late update today, but I was busy during the day. I'd rather say, if you check my blog every Thursday and Saturday, then please check it on Fridays and Sundays instead, as now, the updates may be done late night. Really sorry for all inconvenience. :(
I'm quite disappointed that there has been no participation in the giveaway. It closes on 10th January,2015. And I'm canceling it due to no participation. Maybe I'll hold it some other time. :)
If you want me to review any product/blog about something, please do comment! And I'd love some constructive feedback as well. ;)
Take care. And I'll see ya on Saturday night ;)

Alobon- Waterproof Color Makeup Remover.

I'm so sorry for not updating but I returned from Singapore on Wednesday. And it was my mom's birthday on Thursday so no update! But well, I got a variety of cosmetics from Singapore, so here's the review of one of those.

I always had issues with removing makeup, because even washing your face twice or thrice wouldn't help it remove thoroughly. And so, when I saw this, I didn't hesitate grabbing it!

I used this today itself, to remove my dark purplish blue eye shadow. And guess what? It worked wonders! You just have to dab a little of it on a small cotton piece and use it on the area where you want the make up removed. And with a few swipes of your cotton, the makeup is removed. And of course, this does not apply on lipstick or lip makeup.

Alobon's Waterproof Color Makeup Remover is actually a deep cleansing oil and this is clearly mentioned on the box. This is another reason to grab it, as I highly doubt it will have side effects, seeing it is an oil(even if it isn't natural). But it is still better to test on a smaller portion of your skin before using it, to avoid side effects if any.

This product comes in a small bottle, packed in a box. The one that I have is a bottle of 50 ml, and I'm not aware if there are any sizes in this.

Coming to the cost, I really don't remember the cost for which I bought this. I guess, it was something 3S$D(Singapore Dollars). I don't think it should exceed that even if my estimate is wrong.

That's it for Alobon-s Waterproof Color Makeup Remover. I hope you found this post impressive, and it helps you decide if it's worth a try or not.
Do drop in a comment or so, because I'd love some constructive feedback. Also, my previous post, contains information about my GIVEAWAY ! It is open till 10th January,2015. But if I don't get any response, unfortunately, I'll have to cancel the giveaway.

Winter Favorites! + GIVEAWAY

Like every other beauty blogger, I too, have my personal favorites that keep on changing from time to time. So,in today's post, I'm going to list out my favorites, not only in Beauty products, but also in Food and Books.. This is a December Favorites post actually, but since it has got real chilly in Mumbai why not make it Winter Favorites? And I'm going to such 'Favorites' posts monthly. Be sure to read the complete post, because there is just a little something at the end..

Beauty- Starting with Beauty, my favorites when it comes to Beauty products this month, are as follows-
1) Maybelline Color Show's 'Blackcurrant Pop' and 'Porcelain White'- Maybelline has been my favorite brand for quite a while, and it never fails to impress me. The Blackcurrant shade is a pastel purple which suits calm and cool climate like the one that is now. The Porcelain White is, as the name says a White, and even plain White is lovely. Like all Maybelline Color Show Nail polishes, even these ones are lovely and smooth as ever. For some reason, I feel they have a sort of charm and elegance.

2) Maybelline's Baby Lips Electro Pop- I know that I mention Maybelline products too much(way too much!), but I can't help it! And I recently got this one home. The flavor that I have is 'Oh! Orange'. At first, I wasn't impressed by it, but now I'm addicted! I love how the look isn't all orange-ey on me, and suits well.

They should make me Maybelline's brand ambassador. Haha.

Books- Reading is more than just a hobby to me. It's a drug, that I can't live without. I cannot go a day without reading. Be it the hard-copy books, or the eBooks, I am willing to read them. So here go my favorites for December-
1) I Too Had A Love Story- This book by Ravinder Singh, touches your heart so well, I'd like to say, it's one of those books, which, when you finish them, you are left questioning your existence on the planet. That is how good this was. I'd recommend it to one and all. Go read it!

2) My Wattpad Love- This book, is one I read on an online reading and writing community,'Wattpad'. I'm totally in love with this book. The characters are so relatable, the author, Ariana Godoy's writing so enjoyable, you don't feel like putting the book aside for a minute. Definitely one of those books, which one can go back and read over and over again.

Food- I don't hesitate to say, that I'm a huge foodie! I love food, and I'm proud to say, I'm one of those people who live to eat and not the other way round! Here's what I liked in food in December!-
1) Pizza Dosa- Pizza Dosa that you get right in front of NM(Narsee Monjee) College of Commerce and Economics(Where I study!) tastes divine. You are left licking your fingers in the end! And I mean it literally..

2) Paneer Tikka Pizza- Paneer Tikka Pizza from Pizza Box, in Vile Parle East, Hanuman Road, right beside Panshikar Sweet shop, is amazing. No words to describe how good it was. A bit costly yes, but you only live once!

Congratulations! You came this far! Now, there's a reward for you!
